We live in the Moody Point community and every Friday they have a BYOB (bring your own booze) where they share food and conversation. This week was Good Friday and Meg thought we should share a seasonally appropriate food, so we made Devilled Eggs………….

Meg has a creative streak and she found these guys on the internet. We made hard boiled eggs, removed the yolks and carved the egg white like a cracked shell. Then we used carrot for the beak and pickle for the eyes. We created an army……

None of the creatures survived their encounter with the Moody Point residents. But the culinary adventure and effort was appreciated by the community. Stay tuned, the event is hosted at our house next Friday and Meg has big plans…………..

More Culinary Fun

We went on an adventure this week and started with breakfast at Colby’s in Portsmouth. We both got the same New England Special. Meg got scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon but I got scrambled eggs, sausage and French toast. It was too much food for us and we could have easily split a single breakfast.

It’s Spring!

It is spring now. We got the grill out and cleaned it up. We made a mixed grill tonight with steak, sausage, teriyaki chicken, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was a feast. The weather is really nice here and we will start the spring outside work soon. The bulbs we planted last fall are just starting to peak out of the ground.

It looks to be a glorious spring. We got saltwater fishing licenses and hope to get the Kayaks out this week.
