Thanksgiving day has finally arrived. We started the day by doing a load of laundry and repairing the Easy Chair that we moved into the apartment. It had a broken leg. We could not access the top end of the leg bolt from the bottom, so we had to cut a hole in the side. We repaired the leg and Nancy stitched the fabric back together.
In the mean time, Nancy got our twelve and one half pound turkey dressed and into the oven. We planned to have an early feast. Nancy basted the turkey every twenty-five minutes for three and one half hours.
We had mashed potatoes, gravy, fresh green beans and cranberry sauce with our turkey.

We each took a moment to say what we were thankful for. Then we got down to the serious business of stuffing ourselves. The company was good and the conversation sparkled with the Champagne.
We took a short nap after the feast. It was a beautiful day in NY NY, so we went out to share the bounty with the squirrels. The squirrels appreciated our efforts.

After exhausting all the peanuts we brought with us, we retired to the apartment for some pumpkin pie with ice cream and whipped cream.
It was delicious!
